Terms of Purchase

All prices shown on the web site include VAT at the prevailing rate.

Cancellation and Returns

It is important that you are sure of your purchase decisions prior to placing your order as production can start immediately after you place your order.

All goods supplied on this web site are custom made to your specific sizing and requirements and therefore we cannot accept cancellations, as these goods will not be suitable for resale by us, without levying a charge. If an order has been processed into production but is un-started then the order can be cancelled and a handling fee of £15 will be charged. If production has started prior to you cancelling the order then a charge will be levied to reflect the materials already used in the production. If the products have been completed prior to you cancelling the order then the full balance of the order is chargeable.

All goods supplied by us are custom made to your specification and sizing requirements. As such, it is important that you are sure of your purchase decisions prior to placing your order as production may start immediately after you place your order.

We cannot accept the return of goods supplied by us as the goods will not be suitable for resale by us. Your statutory right to cancel in terms of Regulation 10 of the Consumer Protection (Distance Selling) Regulations 2000 (“DSR 2000”) is hereby excluded in accordance with the provisions of Regulation 13(c) of DSR 2000, and you will not be entitled to return goods to us unless there is a fault with the product.

Alteration to Order

All goods supplied on this web site are custom made to your specific sizing and requirements and therefore we cannot accept alterations to orders without levying a charge unless the order is un-started. If an order has been processed into production but is un-started then the order can be altered at no charge. If production has started prior to you altering the order then a charge will be levied to reflect the materials already used in the production. This charge will be notified to you by email, which you will then confirm as acceptable before the alterations can take place.

CANCELLATION BY US

We reserve the right to cancel your order if:

We have insufficient stock to deliver the goods you have ordered or one or more of the goods you have ordered were listed at an incorrect price due to a typographical error or an error in the pricing information made by us.

If we do cancel your order we will notify you by e-mail and will credit to your account any sum deducted by us from your debit or credit card as soon as possible but in any event within 30 days of your order. We will not be obliged to offer any additional compensation for disappointment suffered.

Stock Delays/Discontinuation

If the goods or the fabric you order become unavailable or are temporarily placed on back order we will notify you as soon as possible by email and suggest a suitable replacement.

Payment

Payments must be made in £ Sterling only using any of the cards shown. When you have completed your selections you are automatically transferred to our secure server. Our secure server is 100% secure and acknowledged as an industry standard for applications requiring a high degree of security. After placing an order you will receive an e-mail confirmation of order for the purchase.

Delivery

Any date or period for delivery shall be considered as indicative only, although if a product is in stock, we aim to send it out to you, within 3 working days of your order. If we cannot dispatch an item to you within 21 days of order we will notify you by email and at your request we will cancel the order and refund your money in full.

Blinds Direct cannot be held responsible for delays in the delivery caused by our suppliers or any other third party.

Blinds Direct only delivers within the UK. All items dispatched are fully insured during transit. We will notify all customers, via email, once orders have been dispatched. Any claims for un-received items must be made within 14 days of the date of dispatch.

If your courier calls to deliver your goods when you are out, they will leave their calling card with a telephone number. You can then telephone them to arrange a convenient time for delivery.

In addition to the price, a delivery charge may be payable in respect of deliveries made to some locations within the UK other than orders for sample swatches of fabric alone. The delivery charge will be that shown on the order confirmation section at the time you place your order.

Inspection of Merchandise

Inspect your blinds as soon as you receive them and notify us immediately of any damages in shipment. If you notify us that the merchandise has been damaged in shipment within 48 hours days of the date that the merchandise is delivered to you, we will have the damaged merchandise either repaired or replaced at no cost to you.

If you do not notify us that the merchandise has been damaged in shipment during this 48 hour period, we will be unable to repair or replace the damaged merchandise at no cost to you.

Defective Goods

Blinds Direct guarantees that, assuming the blinds have been correctly installed, all our blinds will be free from manufacturing and material defects for a period of 12 months from date of order. Should any defect occur during this time, we will, at our expense, repair or replace the defective parts or materials with like for like or similar. This guarantee excludes removal from end users’ windows. Your guarantee is invalid if the failure was caused by incorrect installation, misuse or abuse, accidental damage, failure to follow measuring or fitting instructions, normal wear and tear.
